How to Update the Open Store Tracking Page URL ​

This guide will help you navigate the process of updating the URL for your Shopify native tracking page, ensuring that your customers can easily access their order tracking information.

Step-by-Step Guide ​

Follow these steps to modify your store's tracking page URL:

  1. Open the Rush App:

    • Start by logging into your Shopify admin panel and accessing the Rush app from your installed apps.

  2. Access the Tracking Page:

    • From the navigation sidebar on the left, select Tracking Page. This will bring up a list of all the tracking pages associated with your store.

  3. Select the Page to Edit:

    • Identify the tracking page you want to update and click on the More dropdown menu next to that page.
    • From the dropdown menu, select Page Edit.

  4. Edit the URL:

    • A new window will open with the tracking page's settings. Look for the option labeled Edit Website SEO.
    • Click on Edit Website SEO to reveal additional fields where you can change the URL and handle of the tracking page.

  5. Change the URL:

    • In the URL field, update the current page URL to your desired new URL. For example, you might change it from https://domain.com/pages/trackorder to https://domain.com/pages/trackyourorderlive.
    • Once you’ve made the changes, click the Save button to apply them.

    Important Note:

    • When you change the page URL, Shopify automatically creates a redirect. This means that if someone tries to visit the old URL (e.g., https://domain.com/pages/trackorder), they will be redirected to the new URL (e.g., https://domain.com/pages/trackyourorderlive).

  6. Refresh Open Store Pages in Rush:

    • After updating the URL, return to the Rush app. Navigate to the Tracking Pages section again and click on Refresh Open Store Pages.
    • This step ensures that the Rush app is aware of the latest URL changes, as Shopify does not automatically notify apps when a page URL has been modified.

  7. Confirmation:

    • Your tracking page is now accessible at the new URL: https://domain.com/pages/trackyourorderlive. This update ensures that your customers can continue to track their orders without any interruptions.
