Turn Off Shopify Shipping Notifications ​

Overview ​

This article will provide information on how to turn off shipping notifications sent via Shopify to its customers. The purpose of disabling these notifications is to avoid sending them twice since Rush handles this through its smart notifications, or via Omnisend or Klaviyo. Before enabling integrations with these apps, ensure Shopify's shipping notifications are turned off.

Step-by-Step Guide ​

For easier and better understanding, the steps are divided into two sections.

Disable Abandoned Checkout Notifications Email ​

  1. Log in to Shopify admin and click on Settings located in the bottom left corner of the navigation sidebar.
  2. From the navigation sidebar, select Checkout.
  3. Scroll down to the Abandoned checkouts section and uncheck Send abandoned checkout emails automatically.
  4. Click the Save button located at the top right corner of the screen.

Disable Shipping and Delivery Notification Emails ​

  1. Log in to Shopify admin and click on Settings located in the bottom left corner of the navigation sidebar.
  2. From the navigation sidebar, select Checkout.
  3. Scroll down to the Order processing section.
  4. Select Don’t fulfill any of the order’s line items automatically.
  5. From the navigation sidebar, select Notifications.
  6. Scroll down to the Shipping section and uncheck the boxes next to Out for delivery and Delivered options.
  7. If you are utilizing local delivery, uncheck all of the delivery email options within the section shown below:
