Providing Access to Shopify Store to Rush Team Member

Overview

This article explains how Rush troubleshoots or resolves integration issues with Shopify merchants. If the Rush support team cannot resolve an issue through guidance alone, we may need access to your store to debug the issue directly within the Rush app. There are two methods to provide this access:

  1. Rush requests access to your store.
  2. You grant staff access.

Don't worry

Rest assured, we access your store only to fix the problem and will not change your settings without prior communication. You can also revoke access at any time. Instructions on how to revoke access are provided in this article.

Explanation

1. Rush Requests Access to Your Store

Rush will request access to your store to view orders, installed apps, and settings. You will receive an email with a request for access, similar to the example below:

Click on the "View request" button in the email to see the permissions you can allow. Granting the requested permissions provides the most comprehensive support to troubleshoot the issue.

To accept the request, click the "Accept request" button at the bottom of the email. Once accepted, the Rush support agent will have access to the necessary areas within your Shopify admin without using one of your staff account slots.

2. You Grant Staff Access

If the collaboration request from Rush is lost or accidentally declined, and a second request cannot be sent, we may need you to grant staff access. To do this:

  1. Log in to your Shopify store as the account owner.
  2. Click on Settings in the bottom left corner.
  3. Click on Users and permissions in the panel on the left.
  4. In the Staff section, click on Add staff.
  5. In the Add staff section, check the boxes for the permissions you want to grant. For complete access, click Select all.

Once granted, Rush will receive notifications from Shopify regarding the new staff account.

Remove Rush Access from Your Store Account

To remove Rush’s access:

  1. Log in to your Shopify store.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Click on Users and Permissions from the navigation sidebar.
  4. In the Collaborators section, find the Rush Ltd account and click on it.
  5. Scroll down to the Manage collaborator access section and click on the Remove Rush Ltd button.

This will revoke access, and Rush will no longer have access to your store account.
