Overview โ
This guide outlines how Rush event triggers work and integrate with third-party apps such as Omnisend, Klaviyo, and Rush Smart Email. These triggers provide timely updates about order and shipment statuses and enable businesses to offer additional features like product recommendations, special discounts, and useful tips based on each stage of the order or delivery process.
Rush Events โ
As of 2023, Rush has expanded its triggers and updated supported notification channels and apps. The older Rush trigger system will still apply for app events unless explicitly mentioned. Current triggers are compatible with Yotpo SMS & Emails, Shopify Native Emails, and more integrations are expected soon.

Failed Delivery Attempt for Shipment | Occurs when the carrier attempts delivery but cannot complete it, possibly due to the recipient's absence. | No |
Waiting to Reschedule Delivery | Reminds the customer to set a delivery date if the shipment is awaiting rescheduling with the carrier. | No |
Delivered Shipment | Triggered when the shipment is successfully delivered to the recipient. | No |
Pickup Ready for Shipment | Occurs when the shipment is ready for pickup by the customer from a specified location. | No |
Pickup Ready Reminder for Shipment | Reminds the customer when a shipment has been at a pickup location for several days and has yet to be collected. | Yes |
Returned Shipment | Indicates that the shipment is being returned, possibly due to a failed delivery or customer return. | No |
Exception for Shipment | Triggered when an unexpected issue occurs with the shipment, such as damage or loss. | No |
Days Absence of Shipment Updates | Sends a notification when a shipment hasnโt received updates from the carrier for a specified number of days. | Yes |

All advanced events will be triggered only if your billing plan is on the Advanced or Enterprise tiers.
Legacy Rush Triggers โ
WARNING
Migration from legacy to new triggers is ongoing. The older Rush trigger system remains in use for certain apps like Omnisend, Klaviyo, and Rush Transactional Emails.

New Order (RUSH_NEW_ORDER) | Activated for a new order, sending only the tracking page link without fulfillment details. |
New Shipment (RUSH_NEW_SHIPMENT) | Triggered when tracking information is initially added to an order. |
New Checkpoint (RUSH_NEW_CHECKPOINT) | Activated when a new carrier update is received for a parcel. |
Shipment Status Change (RUSH_SHIPMENT_NEW_STATUS) | Triggered for major status changes in the shipping process, such as from 'Pending' to 'Delivered.' |
